An audit trail of every change to the minute book

A minute book is only useful if people can trust it. Carta logs every change to the registers, governance records and documents, so anyone reviewing the book can see how it got to its current state.

What's logged

Creating, editing and deleting register entries, recording share transactions, uploading documents and new versions, generating documents and changing corporation settings. Each entry records who made the change, when, and the request details.

Per-document history

Each document in the vault has its own activity history, including the note left with each new version and the before-and-after values of any details that changed.

Common questions

Can the audit log be edited?

No. There is no way in Carta to edit or delete audit entries, and document versions are permanent.
